1 ~ We found out we are expecting a baby boy in March! So far everything is going great! I cannot believe Makayla is going to be a big sister! I'm already so worried about how she will adjust! I'm sure it will all be fine, but she is very much attached to being a single child! Since I got pregnant she has been very attached to mommy too. I feel like she knows things will be changing and she wants all of my attention! At times it is so sweet and adorable, but other times it can make me a little crazy! :-) I have been working on picking out a theme for the baby's room and getting it all cleaned out since it was pretty much our storage room. We decided on a bedding set similar to Makayla's that is blue and brown. I'm so excited to get it next week! No names picked out yet. Nick and I have some very different ideas on this subject! It is going to be a very difficult decision! God help us! LOL
| Big sister holding her baby brother's ultrasound picture! She was also with me the first time I got to hear the heartbeat, so that is something special that I will always remember. |
| Our gender reveal cake! This was such an exciting way to find out if we were having a girl or boy! :-) |
2 ~ My baby girl turned 18 months old! This is just insane to me! She is 22 lbs and 30 1/2 inches tall. She is in the 10th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight. She is our little peanut! She is becomming much more of a picky eater for me. And she is often not crazy about the meals that I prepare for her and they mostly end up on the floor! I must say I am so tired of picking up food off the floor! LOL She loves cheese, mac and cheese, grapes, strawberries, pinapple, green beans, peas, pizza and spaghetti. She loves to eat snacks too. Everytime I get a snack for myself she always insists on eating half of it! I guess this is good to keep me from snacking too much! She is running everywhere and she is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She isn't saying too many words yet, but our pediatrian does not seem concerned. She says mama, dada, baba, nana, hi, yeah and uh-oh. She is worked on doggy - but most of the time it sounds like dada but just a little different so I can usually tell she actually means doggy. She likes to make this O face with her mouth and it is so cute. Sometimes she says Oooooooh! when she makes the face. Her hair is getting so long and she has the cutest little blonde curls. She looks a lot like me now when I was a baby :-) She is doing good at school (daycare). She has been visiting the toddler room and should be making the switch soon. At nap time she lays right down on her cot and goes to sleep! Thinking we might just get her a toddler bed before baby comes and move her crib into the new baby's room. We will see... She is so curious and gets into everything! She really tests my limits to see how far and how much she can get away with! She loves other kids, especially her cousins. I cannot wait for Christimas this year! I think she is at a perfect age to make it so much fun!
Well, that is it for now. Kay makes it a little impossible to spend much time on the computer these days! Momma!!!! LOL
