I have not posted in so long!!!!!  So much has happened in the last 6 months....

1 ~ We found out we are expecting a baby boy in March!  So far everything is going great!  I cannot believe Makayla is going to be a big sister!  I'm already so worried about how she will adjust!  I'm sure it will all be fine, but she is very much attached to being a single child!  Since I got pregnant she has been very attached to mommy too.  I feel like she knows things will be changing and she wants all of my attention!  At times it is so sweet and adorable, but other times it can make me a little crazy!  :-)  I have been working on picking out a theme for the baby's room and getting it all cleaned out since it was pretty much our storage room.  We decided on a bedding set similar to Makayla's that is blue and brown.  I'm so excited to get it next week!  No names picked out yet.  Nick and I have some very different ideas on this subject!  It is going to be a very difficult decision!  God help us!  LOL

Big sister holding her baby brother's ultrasound picture!  She was also with me the first time I got to hear the heartbeat, so that is something special that I will always remember.

Our gender reveal cake!  This was such an exciting way to find out if we were having a girl or boy! :-)

2 ~ My baby girl turned 18 months old!  This is just insane to me!  She is 22 lbs and 30 1/2 inches tall.  She is in the 10th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight.  She is our little peanut!  She is becomming much more of a picky eater for me.  And she is often not crazy about the meals that I prepare for her and they mostly end up on the floor!  I must say I am so tired of picking up food off the floor!  LOL  She loves cheese, mac and cheese, grapes, strawberries, pinapple, green beans, peas, pizza and spaghetti.  She loves to eat snacks too.  Everytime I get a snack for myself she always insists on eating half of it!  I guess this is good to keep me from snacking too much!  She is running everywhere and she is obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!  She isn't saying too many words yet, but our pediatrian does not seem concerned.  She says mama, dada, baba, nana, hi, yeah and uh-oh.  She is worked on doggy - but most of the time it sounds like dada but just a little different so I can usually tell she actually means doggy.  She likes to make this O face with her mouth and it is so cute.  Sometimes she says Oooooooh! when she makes the face.  Her hair is getting so long and she has the cutest little blonde curls.  She looks a lot like me now when I was a baby :-)  She is doing good at school (daycare).  She has been visiting the toddler room and should be making the switch soon.  At nap time she lays right down on her cot and goes to sleep!  Thinking we might just get her a toddler bed before baby comes and move her crib into the new baby's room.  We will see...  She is so curious and gets into everything!  She really tests my limits to see how far and how much she can get away with!  She loves other kids, especially her cousins.  I cannot wait for Christimas this year!  I think she is at a perfect age to make it so much fun!

Well, that is it for now.  Kay makes it a little impossible to spend much time on the computer these days!  Momma!!!!  LOL

Kay's 1st Birthday Party

Kay had a BIG 1st birthday party!  Such an amazing little girl... she was very spoiled!  Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us!  Not sure if I will do such a big party in the future.  It was a lot of work!  LOL  But totally worth it :)  This is a picture overload!

Makayla - 1 Years Old!

My little girl is ONE!  I cannot believe it... time has flown by!

Here are her 1 year stats:

Weight ~ 20lbs ~ 28th %
Height ~ 28" ~ 13th %
Head Circumference ~ 18.25" ~ 81th %

She's a little peanut!  The NP said they are going to keep an eye on her height since the % went down quite a bit from our last visit... I guess she didn't notice that Nick and I are both very short people LOL.

Makayla, or Kay Kay as we often call you :-) You have the sweetest little personality! You are ALMOST always happy and smiling!  You are such a blessing to your daddy and I and you bring us so much happiness!  Please stop growing up so fast!  I love you so much baby girl!

Favorite Things:
Foods ~ Cheese, grapes, watermelon, pasta.... We are working on switching from bottles to sippy cups... :-/  Not much fun!  We are down to 1 to 2 bottles a day.  The most important one being right before bed.
Activies ~ Walking!  She is walking all over the place now!  Such a cutie pie!  She is so proud of herself too!  She loves walking with her hands above her head and smiling from ear to ear!  So also loves standing and looking out the window at her doggies.  She definitely knows what doggy means and always looks for them.  She likes to go outside and visit her doggies too.  Finny is her favorite.  :)  Unfortunately she likes to kick and hit at them... so we will have to work on that... LOL.
Sleep ~ She is an amazing little sleeper!  She has slept through the night since she was about 3 months old, so we couldn't be more spoiled!  She usually wakes up between 6:30 and 8 everyday.
School ~ She loves daycare!  She loves other kids... although she's a little rough and aggressive at times... :)

I can't wait to make more memories with our little girl!  :)

Good morning.... the morning of her birthday :)

Her birthday dress...

Makayla's Surgery

On April 18th Kay had to get tubes in her ears :-(  I was sooooo nervous, but it really turned out to be no big deal.  And she looked so adorable in her little hospital gown!  LOL :-)

Hey guys... what's going on here????

Get this thing off my head!!!

March of Dimes - Walk for Babies

On April 15th, we did the Walk for Babies downtown.  It was an amazing turnout!  We walked in memory of Eli this year and we had over 30 people on our team!!  :-)  We are truly blessed to have such amazing friends and family!

She's all ready!

Love these girls! :)

Elijah - 2nd Heavenly Birthday

Our little boy turned 2 on April 21st...  We celebrated by having family over for dinner.  I cannot believe that 2 years has already passed.  I always thought that time would help the pain of missing him, but time doesn't change anything.  I still miss him just as much as that first day, maybe more.  And now that we have an amazing little girl in our lives, I often think about how much more amazing our lives would be with Eli as well.  I think about all of the firsts that we missed out on... first words.. first steps... It's definitely a hard journey losing a child, but we have to make the best of it.  All I can do is make sure Kay knows all about her big brother and keep his memory alive and part of our lives always.  <3
